Sorry, I have not posted lately. There really hasn't been too much excitement in The Ostrander household! The weekend of February 7th, Andy went up north snowmobiling with the guys so the girls (big girls) went downtown for some much needed fun. Delani got to stay with Grandma GG and Ellery had a sleepover with Grandma Ball (aka Grandma Purple Frog). Don't ask me where she came up with that one cuz I have no clue! I have been trying to recuperate for the last week from our big night out.
Last weekend was Valentine's day. We didn't do much of anything. We ordered pizza and breadsticks and just hung out at home. We had a play dough party Saturday night. Delani was so cute. She would grab the playdough and squeeze it and get the funniest look on her face. She kept trying to eat it, go figure! On Sunday we went over to Grandma & Grandpa Cooper's for the race. The girls and I didn't last long, once the race started it started to get a little rowdy in there. We took the girls home, they both fell asleep on the way, Andy went back over there.
Delani has mastered crawling now. No more army crawl. She is also pulling herself up to everything she can. Last week she was pulling herself up on me before work. I didn't notice until I got to work that she had wiped snot all over my black pants. Real nice!! She is chewing on everything lately, I'm wondering if her top teeth are working their way through. We have tried Squash and she was not a big fan of it! I didn't think there was anything that kid wouldn't eat!! Aunt Bill said that she wasn't too fond of her carrots yesterday either. She loves her sweet potatoes though.
Ellery has been a little stinker for Aunt Bill. Last week I got an email at work telling me that Ellery has been talking back a lot. I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. I don't want her giving Erin problems but it also made me think that she must really be comfortbale with her which is good, right? When I went to pick the girls up, I said "I heard you weren't very nice to Aunt Bill today?" She instantly said, "Well Aunt Bill was being mean to Delani!" So Aunt Bill told me that Gage had spilled something and that she had to set Delani down to clean it up. Delani was not happy about that and started crying. Ellery had to tell Aunt Bill how that was not very nice. Just yesterday Ellery wouldn't eat lunch for Aunt Bill. I don't know what this new stubbornness towards Aunt Bill is all about but I certainly hope it stops before we get kicked out. If it's not one child giving Aunt Bill a hard time, it's the other!! Thanks Erin for being so good to the girls!!
